    All depots must maintain and backup their Depot System software on a regular basis.

     
 
  Remote Access Setup:

    To use Depot System with Remote Desktop or Terminal Server connection, please follow the steps below:
 
 
      If you have Windows XP:

    Go to START button.
    Then go to Programs (or All Programs).
    Then go to Accessories.
    Then click the "Remote Desktop" menu choice.
    Enter in the address of our server;

    ds.depotsystem.com or 70.62.218.178

    (The backup server is ds.depotsystem.net or 216.144.36.68 )

    Click the Connect Button.
    You will see the server login; enter in your supplied user name and     
    password.  You will then see a Depot System icon on the Desktop. 
    Double click to start - login using your supplied user name and 
    password.

Download Remote Desktop Client

After clicking the Download link, click "Open", then take the installation defaults.  After the install, a new menu choice called Remote Desktop Connection will be created under Programs (or All Programs) on you computer.  Double click to start - login using your supplied user name and password.

How to create a Remote Access icon on your desktop:

Go to Programs (or All Programs).
Go to Accessories.
Select the "Remote Desktop" menu choice.
Right Click on the menu choice, then select the "Send To" menu choice.
Then click "Send To Desktop ".

 

 
  Patches and Software Updates:

    Patches and software updates are installed via the Depot System 4.0 update program.

Hapag Lloyd Host on Demand (HoD) service:

   Remove all Java versions, reboot the PC.
   Remove or disable any Java auto update programs.
   Click here to install the Java 1.5 software.
    (Must use 1.5 version - 1.6 is not working with Hapag, 1.4 will not work with IE6 or IE7)
